liblinux-pid-perl software package provides wrapper around the getpid() and getppid() C functions, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblinux-pid-perl
liblinux-pid-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblinux-pid-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblinux-pid-perl *
You will get with liblinux-pid-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
